To start off our fruit and veggie day I made fruit and veggies out of paper for my daughter (she is still to young to cut paper) labeled them what they are and had fun pretend shopping and eating them.
Then we made
Watermelon sand
-one pack of watermelon kool aid mix
-baking soda
-water
I mixed the kool aid and baking soda together first then slowly added the water till it become the same texture as semi wet sand at the beach. It was really cool and fun to mess with. did stain hands some but with warm water and soap came right off. With the paper fruit we made, I also had her guess what smell it was.
